“He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:17)  From the opening words of Genesis:  “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1) to Abraham’s declaration that “God will provide for himself the lamb” (Genesis 22:8), Scripture reveals a God who creates, provides, redeems and ultimately makes Himself known through Jesus Christ.

Join us as we study Colossians and Genesis 1–22 and learn together what it means to be rooted in Christ, trust God’s promises, walk faithfully in obedience and grow into the men He has called us to be.

The books of Colossians and Genesis together provide a powerful foundation for understanding who God is, who we are and how His redemptive plan unfolds through Scripture.

In our six-week study of Colossians, we will focus on the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ and what it means to live a life rooted in Him.

We will then turn to Genesis 1–22 for a twenty-four-week study of the beginnings of creation, humanity, sin, redemption, and God’s covenant promises. Our study will culminate with Abraham’s willingness to offer his beloved son Isaac, a powerful picture that points forward to God’s own provision of His Son, Jesus Christ, as the sacrifice for our redemption.

From Paul’s call to walk faithfully in Christ to the lives of Adam, Noah, and Abraham, we will see God’s character, His faithfulness, and His sovereign purposes at work. As men, these studies will challenge us to build our lives on Christ, trust God’s promises, lead with faith and obedience, and remain grounded in the unchanging truth of His Word.
